I had my dad and grandparents over for dinner last night. I made this crumble for the occasion. The unusual fruit combination from what I had available in the freezer and pantry. I didn’t think it would we worthy of the blog, but it turned out to be so yummy and colorful! That is why the photo is of a half eaten crumble…
1 can pie apple
1 can pie peaches
1/2 – 1 cup of frozen mixed berries
LSA mix (optional)
Almond meal (optional)
-sorry I have no idea of measurements!!! I use about equal quantities of flour and oats, and only a small amount of the others.
Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix (there is no other option than to use your hands). Start with a small amount of butter and add more as you need it. You don’t want it too moist but you don’t want it floury either. I grab a handful of the mixture and squeeze it together if it holds together but crumbles a bit too, it’s perfect you don’t want it too look like cookie dough.. Does that make sense??? The measurement depends on how much crumble you want on the top.
Mix all the fruit together and put in a greased baking dish. Add crumble to the top of the fruit mixture.
Bake in the oven until it’s toasty golden.
