I went to a friends house for a fantastic dinner last night. I decided I would take along a dessert. I had seen this on TV, it looked easy enough, I thought it would be too sweet, but I thought I would give it a go anyway. Everyone loved it. I will defiantly make this one again.
1/2 packet Marie biscuits
Approx 75g Butter
1 tin caramel
1 large banana
Vanilla Bean Extract
Melting Chocolate or a Flake
Crush Marie biscuits in blender, add melted butter until good consistency for a biscuit base. Press down firmly into pie dish. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes (you can skip this step if your in a hurry). Add tin of caramel to the base and spread evenly, spread finely sliced banana over caramel.
Whip cream with about 1 tbs of icing sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla bean extract. Spread over banana layer.
Melt choc in small tub, dip in fork and flick over cake. *
* It took me 3 tries to get the choc consistency perfect, next time I think I will just use a crushed flake.
Refrigerate until ready to eat.
