I’m one of those people that can never plan my shopping, I wish I could but it just doesn’t work. I’m in decisive, which doesn’t help. I’m not good at setting routines, so if I plan my meals for the week and do a big shop, I end up going out for dinner or something else comes up and I end up wasting food. Which I hate! So I take it a day or two at a time…
Occasionally we decide that our cupboard is getting too full. You know those items you buy but never get around to using. The rules are loose, but generally we need to make something for dinner that uses up the most ingredients we can without purchasing anything or minimal extra ingredients anyway.
Tonight it’s Egg and Bacon Pie/Quiche
Eggs – I have quite a few to use up since Pop’s hens are laying…
Bacon – Out of the freezer
Spring Onion – Fridge
Spinach and chives out of the garden
Pastry – I need to buy this one, I found some hidden in the freezer but it was used by 01/10 a little too far out of date.
Next it’s Lasagna
Lasagna sauce – found in the cupboard, I’m not even sure how this one got there as I usually make it myself.
Lasagna sheets – Cupboard
Carrots and cheese – Fridge
Beef mince – Buy
I’m not sure what the rest of the week is going to bring, it could be quite interesting…
